The Gateway Aftercare Program is a supportive follow-up program for mothers who have successfully completed Gateway’s residential program or another residential program for substance abusers. Using group and individual activities, the program provides support to Gateway families in their transition to independent living. Knowledgeable case workers can arrange for income-adjusted housing and help participants set goals, enter into employment, create budgets, and begin educational programs. They also provide follow-up services and such things as health-care screenings, relapse prevention tactics and other services to assist with a successful transition.
