Intervention services are designed to impact youth, adults, and families when specific problems are identified. Hodac provides these services through the Houston County court systems; Houston, Peach, and Crawford County Board of Education; and the local community. Crime Victim Advocates provide support services for victims of crime which includes: court advocacy; court accompaniment; filing of victim compensation forms; developing safety plans; and hospital response to sexual assault and domestic violence cases. Through the local boards of education, prevention counselors work with elementary and middle school students who have been identified as being “at risk” for substance abuse or other self-destructive behaviors. These services include: identification, referral, and mental health screening; individual support counseling; family support counseling; and student support groups. Hodac also offers Parents and Adolescents Coming Together (PACT) as an additional intervention service.
